中国南方报业集团旗下《21世纪经济报道》今天刊出一名爆料人揭发法国医药巨头赛诺菲涉嫌向5百多中国医生行贿的情况。法国赛诺菲制药集团今天向本台表示，他们已经看到这个报道，对此非常重视。但对2007年发生的事情目前不做置评。赛诺菲制药集团在中国有大约6500名员工。
一个代号为“培根”的爆料人向“21世纪经济报道”提供了四份材料，内容包括在2007年11月前后，该集团向中国北京、上海、杭州及广州79家医院的503名医生行贿，换取这些医生多开赛诺菲的药品，医生每开一单处方，即可以获得80元人民币的回扣。报道说，赛诺菲借“研究经费”的名义向这些医生支付了大约169万元。
法国赛诺菲制药集团今天向本台表示，他们已经看到这个报道，对此非常重视。但对2007年发生的事情目前不做置评。
赛诺菲集团还强调该公司坚决尊重其经营所在国家的法律法规。对任何违反道德的行为都采取“零容忍”态度。
该公司还表示，报道中提到的药物投入市场后的跟踪监督，是药物开发的重要阶段，可帮助了解新药的疗效，提供宝贵的科学 数据，使医生可以为患者制定个体化治疗方案。这也是行业的普遍做法。
